Welcome to ThirtyOne8, my brand new online presence.
My name is Andy Moore. I’m 27. I’m married to a beautiful young lady and have two sons – one 21 months old, the other 17 weeks post-conception. I was born and raised in Christchurch, New Zealand – but now live in Virginia in the USA.
I’ve been blogging since March 15, 2006. You may have seen me blogging first at starstuddedsuperstep.blogspot.com, then at starstuddedsuperstep.com, and then at andymoo.re/blog. People just didn’t seem to get the andymoo.re thing, and it was too confusing to explain to people that – yes, “.re” really is supposed to be there.
I first started writing about abortion on my blog in September, 2007. In April 2008 I purchased my first pro-life t-shirt from Abort73.com – and this really heralded the beginning of my fight to make abortion unthinkable.
The name ThirtyOne8 is taken from Proverbs 31:8. Here’s Proverbs 31:8-9 for fuller context:
Open your mouth for the speechless,
In the cause of all who are appointed to die.
Open your mouth, judge righteously,
And plead the cause of the poor and needy.
When I co-founded ProLife NZ in late 2008, “Open your mouth for the speechless” was really the motto of this newly formed youth pro-life group.
So it’s fitting that the reference for this challenge should serve as the title for my blog.
ThirtyOne8’s chief purpose will be to equip abolitionists with resources, apologetics and arguments – tools needed in the fight to make abortion both illegal and unthinkable.
I’m looking forward to it!
Note that this blog is currently under development, so you should expect to see a few changes as I fine-tune things a bit.
